Frequently asked questions
What is Stader?

Stader is a non-custodial smart contract-based staking platform that helps you conveniently discover and access staking solutions. We are building key staking middleware infra for multiple PoS networks for retail crypto users, exchanges and custodians.

What is liquid staking?

Liquid staking is the process of locking up funds to earn rewards while still having access to the funds. It allows users to mint a token that represents their staked assets and grows in value as staking rewards accrue. The token will have wide acceptance in Defi and hence allow users to participate in both securing the network via staking and pursue Defi.

How is Stader secure?

Stader is a secure liquid staking solution. We do continuous review and testing of all code. We perform regular audits of smart contract by external auditors (10+ successful audits across multiple chains). We use Multi-sig admin accounts for changing smart contract parameters.

What are the risks of staking with Stader?

There exist some risks when staking using liquid staking protocols.

Smart contract risk: Although the Stader code is thoroughly vetted and audited there exists a possibility of malicious users exploiting a vulnerability or a bug in the contract

Slashing risk: While Stader carefully selects and monitors validators, there exists a risk of one or more of the validators being slashed. Stader also automatically distributes staked assets across multiple validators and this minimizes slashing impact arising from the actions of any individual validator.

Wallet and downstream apps: Wallets and third party apps may have to be used to access staking, users should evaluate the security of the wallets and other third party apps independently, Stader does not hold any responsibility for the security of the wallets or third party applications used in staking platform

The Stader team is committed to delivering the best and most secure staking experience for users.

What networks do you currently support?

We are currently live on Hedera, Polygon, Fantom, Near, Binance, Terra 2.0, and Terra Classic networks. Our liquid staking solution will soon be available on Ethereum 2.0, Solana, and Avalanche networks.
