Stader Labs

NearX, BNBx and MaticX have all been sunset and can only be redeemed. From 29 October 2026, redemptions for these assets are changing:

  • NearX and BNBx move from on-chain withdrawals to a verified claims process. You can still withdraw through the contracts, with no fee, before 29 October.
  • MaticX stays on-chain, and its exchange rate is fixed at 1.2002 POL per MaticX.

Token

Before 29 October 2026

From 29 October 2026

NearX

Unstake and withdraw through the NearX contract, no fee

Claim by email at 1.1724 NEAR per NearX, less a 30 NearX recovery fee, paid quarterly

BNBx

Redeem through the BNBx contract, no fee

Claim by email at 1.1099 BNB per BNBx, less a 0.2 BNBx recovery fee, paid quarterly

MaticX

Redeem through Etherscan

Redeem through Etherscan at a fixed 1.2002 POL per MaticX, until 3 August 2029

If you hold a small amount of NearX or BNBx, withdraw through the contract before 29 October. The recovery fee is a fixed number of tokens, so it takes a larger share of a small claim.

Why NearX and BNBx are moving to claims

The NearX and BNBx contracts are no longer maintained, and both were built on tooling that is several years old. After 29 October we will upgrade both contracts and move the remaining NEAR and BNB to custody addresses.

Any contract that holds funds is a target for attackers. Once the funds are in custody, instead of smart contracts that have to be secured on-chain. Claims no longer depend on the old contracts or the tooling around them, and a claim needs only your wallet and an email, not several transactions through a block explorer.

The recovery fee on each claim pays for running the claims process.

NearX

NearX, Stader's liquid staking token on NEAR, was sunset on 13 December 2023.

Before 29 October 2026

You can unstake and withdraw your NEAR through the NearX contract, v2-nearx.stader-labs.near, with no fee. Unstaked NEAR becomes withdrawable about 30 hours after you unstake, so unstake as soon as possible.

Already unstaked but not yet withdrawn? Withdraw on-chain before 29 October 2026. Unstaked NEAR that has not been withdrawn by 29 October cannot be recovered.

From 29 October 2026

  • You can no longer unstake or withdraw through the NearX contract.
  • Claims are paid at a fixed rate of 1.1724 NEAR per NearX, the exchange rate when NearX was sunset in late 2023.
  • A recovery fee of 30 NearX is deducted from the NearX you send.
  • Claims are settled once a quarter. Approved claims are paid in the next quarterly settlement.

For example, if you send 100 NearX, you receive (100 - 30) × 1.1724 = 82.068 NEAR.

How to claim NearX

  • Send your NearX to stader-nearx.sputnik-dao.near from the wallet that holds it. If your NearX is in a DEX pool or a lending protocol, withdraw it to your wallet first.
  • Email claims@staderlabs.com.
    • Subject: [NearX Claim]-[your wallet address]-[NearX amount sent], for example [NearX Claim]-[mynearaddress.near]-[52.4673 NearX]
    • Body: the transaction hash, or the NearBlocks link to your NearX transfer (https://nearblocks.io/txns/<transaction hash>)
  • Receive your NEAR in the next quarterly settlement. We pay only to the wallet in your subject line, and only if it is the wallet that sent the NearX.

BNBx

BNBx, Stader's liquid staking token on BNB Smart Chain, was sunset on 29 January 2026 and has been redeem-only since. Its exchange rate has been fixed at 1.1099 BNB per BNBx since March 2026.

Before 29 October 2026

You can redeem BNBx for BNB instantly through the BNBx staking contract with no fee. The step-by-step guide is on the BNB Chain (Discontinued) page.

From 29 October 2026

  • You can no longer redeem through the BNBx contract.
  • Claims are paid at a fixed rate of 1.1099 BNB per BNBx, the final exchange rate.
  • A recovery fee of 0.2 BNBx is deducted from the BNBx you send.
  • Claims are settled once a quarter. Approved claims are paid in the next quarterly settlement.

For example, if you send 10 BNBx, you receive (10 - 0.2) × 1.1099 = 10.877 BNB.

How to claim BNBx

  • Send your BNBx to 0xb866E12b414d9f975034C4BA51498E6E64559a4c on BNB Smart Chain, from the wallet that holds it. Use BNB Smart Chain only. If your BNBx is in a DEX pool or a lending protocol, withdraw it to your wallet first.
  • Email claims@staderlabs.com.
    • Subject: [BNBx Claim]-[your wallet address]-[BNBx amount sent], for example [BNBx Claim]-[0xYourWalletAddress]-[2.4673 BNBx]
    • Body: the transaction hash, or the BscScan link to your BNBx transfer
  • Receive your BNB in the next quarterly settlement. We pay only to the wallet in your email subject line, and only if it is the wallet that sent the BNBx.

MaticX

MaticX was wound down in June 2026 and has been redeem-only since. As set out in the original sunset plan, the MaticX to POL exchange rate will be fixed at 1.2002 POL per MaticX from 29 October 2026 for all remaining redemptions. Redemptions stay on-chain, and you have until 3 August 2029 to redeem MaticX for the full value of the underlying POL.

How to redeem MaticX

Every step uses the MaticX contract on Ethereum, 0xf03A7Eb46d01d9EcAA104558C732Cf82f6B6B645. Open it on Etherscan, go to the Contract tab, and connect the wallet that holds your MaticX.

  1. Request a withdrawal. Under Write as Proxy, call requestWithdraw with the amount in wei (1 MaticX = 1000000000000000000). Your MaticX is burned and the matching POL starts unbonding on Polygon.
  2. Wait for unbonding to finish. Polygon holds unstaked POL for 80 checkpoints, currently about 22 hours.
  3. Claim your POL. Under Read as Proxy, call getUserWithdrawalRequests with your address to list your requests. Then, under Write as Proxy, call claimWithdrawal once for each request with its position, starting from the last one. Positions count from 0.

The guide with screenshots is on the Polygon (Discontinued) page.

  • Already requested a withdrawal? It is not affected. Claim your POL with step 3.
  • Holding MaticX in DeFi? MaticX in a lending market, liquidity pool or vault stays where it is. Ask that protocol how a fixed MaticX rate affects your position.
  • Holding MaticX on Polygon PoS? Move it to Ethereum through the Polygon bridge, then follow the steps above.

Stay safe

Stader Labs will never DM you, ask for your seed phrase or private keys, or ask you to send a payment. Send NearX only to stader-nearx.sputnik-dao.near and send BNBx only to 0xb866E12b414d9f975034C4BA51498E6E64559a4c on BNB Smart Chain, and email only claims@staderlabs.com. Send from a wallet you control, not from an exchange account, because we can pay only the wallet that sent the tokens.

Thank you

Thank you to everyone who staked with NearX, BNBx and MaticX, and to the validators and partners across NEAR, BNB Chain and Polygon who supported them. If you have questions, email claims@staderlabs.com.
